"The Road of Light" is a new original script jointly created by Gao Shibo, the Shadow Play Museum, Kaohsiung's local Xiangzuo Theater, and the Yongxingle Shadow Play Troupe, a traditional performing arts preserver. It combines traditional Taiwanese shadow play stories with modern theater and light and shadow play for a cross-border performance.
The 2022 annual drama of the Department of Theater Arts of National Sun Yat-sen University, "Voices from the Mountains", is directed by Associate Professor Lin Yicheng, and together with the singing director of the Godot Theater, Ms. Yang Wenxin, it brings the story of the rural towns in Liugui District, Kaohsiung. The high-pitched singing voices of the indigenous people in the play are fully captured in the stills this time!
